This series of extreme collages explores the ways techology can help to change and distort images. The intensive hands-on focus of cutting minutia echoes the challenges and the pride that ancient artisans had before methods were streamlined due to technology. As much as our processes have been streamlined, there is a quality that technology has yet to hold our interest in. These works explore the possibilities that the artist has in using impulsive and instinctive methods, while at the same time, using technology as a tool, but not be incumbered by that tool.
